I tried to watch the NASCAR race that’s on right now. It’s been so long since I attempted to watch one, that I had forgotten all about the stage racing. Then they threw a “Competition cation” at lap 30. Are you freaking kidding me? This is the series that claims to be the pinnacle of American racing?

Fuck this noise. I’ll go build Lego in my basement, and wait IndyCar to put on a real race.

When they threw that competition caution at freaking lap 30, I threw the remote to my wife and said, “Watch something you want, because I’m already out of fucks to give.”

I liked Kenseth back when I followed NASCAR. That’s been more than a decade now though.

Do you listen to Dinner with Racers? Kyle Petty’s episode was phenomenal. He mentioned that his dad considers Kenseth the second coming of David Pearson.

I’m a huge DWR fan and grew up a Kyle Petty fan so I’ve definitely listened to that one! I just always have a bit of doubt when someone gets back in a car without practice.

I haven’t really followed NASCAR in a long time and I’m really trying to watch it this year. It’s tough for a lot of reasons. The fan base is a heritage I’ve tried to escape my entire life, but the racing isn’t doing it any favors right now either.

I've listened to in multiple times, it's great.

I can block out the fan base easy enough, but the racing just doesn't do anything for me anymore.
